Post-Election MP Engagement Group - Brisbane

This will be a very important time to email your new or returning MP to introduce yourself as a community member who cares, and to let them know how you want them to act on climate change. We will reach out to introduce ourselves as well as asking for a time to visit them in person. They should be keen to take the mood of constituents post-election, so it's a great time to meet with them and have a direct chat!

Some seats may have flipped or become more marginal, so MPs will have to consult more with the community to keep in voters' good books! We'll talk about meeting with your MP and direct you to some great resources to help you plan.

It might have been a while since you joined us for an MPEG session, you may be a regular at them or maybe this will be your first one – either way, we'd love for you to join us at such a an important time to demand action on climate from our new or returning MPs. Please also feel free to invite any friends or family who are keen to take action.

Our fabulous MPEG volunteer team have prepared a number of issue briefings for you here with links to extra background reading, if you want to find out more before the session. (Not necessary though – just come along and we'll fill you in.)

We will be hosting this MPEG for any electorate around Brisbane to come together and write to their respective MP's, so no matter where you are, come join us in taking action!
