Climate change is overwhelming. Talking about it with people we trust not only boosts our confidence - it encourages others to speak out and signals to politicians that urgent action is needed.

We're here to help you start those conversations, and take action in your community.

Learn to talk about climate change

Our Effective Climate Conversations Workshop gives you the skills and confidence to have climate conversations with friends and family more often and more effectively. Whether you're new to climate conversations or looking to sharpen your skills, you’ll learn how to start a non-threatening conversation, build on common ground, and foster productive dialogue, even if there are differing opinions.

Host or facilitate a Climate Conversation

Invite friends over. We'll send a trained facilitator. You provide the space (and maybe some snacks). The facilitator does the rest.

We run two types of workshops:

  • Introduction to Climate Change for people who care and have yet to engage

  • Taking Climate Action for groups ready to jump straight into action

Most conversations happen around kitchen tables, but they work anywhere people can sit and chat. Eighty-six percent of people feel more empowered to take action after participating in a facilitated climate conversation.

Join a Climate Action Club

Climate action is easier - and more fun - with friends. Our Climate Action Clubs connect you with a like-minded community and provide the practical support and resources you need to take meaningful action. This could include moving money out of fossil fuels, writing to politicians, or building community power. Through collective action, participants move from apathy and despair to hope, agency and determination. All you need is a laptop and a couple of hours.

Join an online session, start a local club, or connect with an existing group near you.
