Once a year, Climate for Change runs a hands-on training program for a group of people who want to build real skills for the climate movement and the broader not-for-profit sector: fundraising, climate communications, campaign strategy, and community organising.
Training runs across several months outside of regular work hours (mostly on Saturdays, but also some evenings). Sessions are led by the Climate for Change team, along with guest speakers from partner organisations who share what's worked (and what hasn't) in their own work.
In the final stretch of the program, fellows put their new skills into practice by running a real peer-to-peer fundraising campaign: recruiting a small team, setting targets, and raising funds that go straight back into climate action. Since the fellowship began, fellows have raised more than $1 million this way.
Past fellows describe the program as a genuine confidence-builder. Many go on to work in the climate or not-for-profit sector; others come away simply better equipped to talk about climate change with the people in their lives.
Applications open once a year - if you're keen to apply, follow us on social media and subscribe to our newsletter so you're in the loop when new opportunities come up!
