Ongoing Facilitator Training - April 2022

OFT Agenda: The upcoming election, MPEGs and Strategy

Outline: At this OFT we'll reflect and learn from recent Conversations, and also welcome guest speaker Jane Stabb to cover two important topics. We'll also be joined by some of the leaders of local MP Engagement Groups around Australia, and our new Climate Communications Bootcamp trainees for a jam-packed session!

We'll hear from Jane Stabb - Co-CEO of Climate for Change, about the latest thinking within the climate movement and political scene, and we'll unveil the latest Climate Poll news and resources. We'll then brainstorm ideas on how to engage with your MPs, ministers, candidates and local community in this crucial pre-election time.

About our guest:

Jane is an organiser by trade, and has worked and volunteered in the climate movement for the past decade. She's run scaled, people-powered campaigns building and leveraging community power to get wins for our climate. She loves supporting people and communities to make change, and she is passionate about creating a safe world for those who come after us.

This is a great opportunity to bring your questions (and tricky questions Conversation guests ask) about Australian politics and the direction of the climate movement in Australia.
