MPEGs Community: How to run a successful local group

Join us for MP Engagement Group training: Wednesday March 15th, 7.30pm - 9pm (AEDT)

Theme: How to run a successful local group

ALL WELCOME! This interactive session is a chance for our wonderful community to meet, welcome new folks, learn from each other and come away with new ways to take action on climate! We’ll hear from experienced local MPEG leaders and members around Australia.

If you have a local group already, you can share your wins and challenges with others in our community and the wider climate movement. We'll also make time to talk about your groups' strategy for the year — what are your plans for engaging with MPs?

If you don't have a group yet, learn how to create and motivate a group that works with your local context and is effective in its actions. All you need to start is a few friends, our excellent resources and the passion to make it happen!

In the first hour of this session we will workshop:

  • how to get a group started
  • how to keep people coming back for more
  • ideas to improve the effectiveness and impact of your existing group
  • how to engage with MPs in a way that is lasting and meaningful.

Then we'll have some time to send off a quick email to your MP and/or invite your friends along to your first meeting!

Hope to see you there. We'll send you the Zoom link when you RSVP below.
