Brisbane Climateers!

If you feel strongly about climate action, and want to see more happening, lets get together, and write together! Come write letters to your MP and the other candidates in your electorate, letting them know we want stronger climate action. No idea where to start? We'll walk you through it! Written already? Come show others the ropes, and write follow up letters to continue the conversation. It's also a great way to meet others and find out more ways to get involved in Climateering.

WHY WRITE? The word from insiders in MPs’ offices is that letters and emails are taken very seriously - and counted! For everyone who takes the time to raise an issue with them, they know there are many more people who feel the same way. If they receive lots of correspondence on a particular issue, it will be discussed in policy meetings and can have an effect on decision-making.

WHY NOW? With the Federal election coming up in April/May, now is the ideal time to let the candidates in your electorate know what matters to their voters. They want to hear from you now, more than at any other time.
