In this 2-hour interactive workshop, you’ll build the confidence and skills to talk about climate change in ways that truly connect with people in your life.
Through a series of engaging activities, real-life examples, and guided practice in small breakout groups, you’ll learn how to:

Navigate tricky topics and respond to common climate questions and reactions - from skepticism and apathy, to doomism and denial.

Share your own authentic climate story in a way that motivates and inspires others.

Break through the “climate silence” by turning everyday conversations into powerful opportunities for change.
This is a supportive, energising space for you to feel more confident in your own conversation skills, connect with others, and walk away feeling empowered to make an impact - starting with the people around you.
Whether you’re new to climate conversations or looking to sharpen your skills, this workshop will meet you where you're at and help you take the next step.

Writing to your elected representative is one of the most effective things you can do to make your voice heard, and to put pressure on governments to take action on climate change. This session will support you to do just that!

We'll support you to put effective pressure on our Federal and State MPs by writing emails and planning calls and visits to them. If you're new to this activity there'll be plenty of help and all the resources you need to take effective action. Whether you're a newbie, or have joined us before, everyone is welcome!
You'll need your laptop or tablet. We'll have templates, materials, and ideas to make it easy to write emails to MPs that make a difference.

Since launching the campaign calling for a national Climate Compensation Fund communities across the continent have stepped up to make big polluters pay their fair share.
Hundreds of people have joined the campaign, 5 councils have passed motions calling for Polluters to Pay and we're making media headlines!Communities and organisations are now finding different ways to make this campaign work for them, because we all see a big opportunity for this campaign to shift the politics of fossil fuels in this country.
To build on this momentum we’re coming together for a one-day planning session, specifically designed for organisers in NSW to build skills, share lessons, and grow the campaign to win a Climate Compensation Fund - paid for by big polluters, not communities.
Join us at Redfern Town Hall (small hall) for a full day training to:

connect and plan with others across Sydney and surrounds - teams from Randwick, Blue Mountains, Illawarra and beyond will be there!

learn how to effectively engage our councils and communities to build support for polluters to pay

tailor the campaign to your local community

map our plans together between now and the end of the year.
