This year, we are launching our 2026 Challenge for Climate campaign with our "Unsilencing the Majority" webinar focused on how Australians can help accelerate progress on climate change.
The Challenge for Climate is our peer-to-peer campaign: ten days of climate action, community and fundraising to build the momentum for lasting climate action. Together, we’ll raise the funds and public pressure needed to keep climate change front and centre in the decisions that shape our future.
To kick off this year's campaign, join us for an inspiring evening featuring special guest speakers who will share different perspectives on climate communication, alongside research, stories and examples of how ordinary people are helping to accelerate progress on climate change around Australia.
Meet our panel, facilitated by our very own Professor Lesley Head - Chair of Climate for Change,
-
- Dr Karl Kruszelnicki - Award-winning science communicator, author of 48 books, and advocate for science education and public engagement. Recognised with the UNESCO Kalinga Prize, Ig Nobel Prize, and appointment as a Member of the Order of Australia.
- Varsha Yajman - Indian Australian youth advocate, lawyer, and journalist exploring the intersection of race, climate justice, and mental health.
- Nelli Stevenson: Climate and energy communications leader and expert in audience research and strategic communications. A Fellow of the Centre for Australian Progress and Chair of Swinburne University’s Media and Communications Course Advisory Committee.
