Climate Conversations for Your Community

Run your own Climate Conversations program

Our Expertise

Climate for Change's flagship program, Climate Conversations, is a unique model that has been successfully run for over seen years internally. It's a high-impact organising tool within the climate movement, successful in reaching audiences that other environmental NGOs have historically found challenging to tap into. We expertly train volunteer facilitators to deliver and guide these conversations all over the country, both in-person and online. In recent years, private and public organisations have partnered with Climate for Change to successfully adopt and run their own Climate Conversation programs.

Our Offering

We train you and your colleagues to conduct our transformative Climate Conversations within your community:

  • You'll get access to a comprehensive suite of resources, guides and training plans that we have developed for this purpose
  • We'll help you tailor these resources to your specific community, audience or campaign
  • We'll teach you how to use everything to its full potential through an action-learning approach
  • We will support you on an ongoing basis to ensure that you’re on the right track
  • Your needs, budget and time constraints are taken into account to create a personalised program

Climate Conversations

Climate Conversations start with a host, who invites friends to their home for a meal or gathering. A trained volunteer facilitates a discussion about the science of climate change, its impacts and solutions. Attendees are given the opportunity to host the next conversation, volunteer and donate, growing the impact locally.

Pilot Partnership: Jewish Climate Network

“At the Jewish Climate Network, we understand that we are in the crucial decade to act on climate change. Our partnership with C4C has allowed us to speed forward to meet this challenge. Even with a minimal staff, with C4C's help, JCN has been able to lay foundations which will allow us to step forward into 2021 ready to deeply engage our community. [C4C's] expertise and understanding are matched only by [their] interpersonal skills and ability to creatively problem-solve. JCN has greatly benefited from this partnership and highly recommend it to other organisations who are bringing climate action to their communities through evidence-based conversations.”
