Crowdfund for Change With Us!

Right now, we have an opportunity to empower thousands of people to act on climate change.

This October, we need you to help us supercharge action on climate change in Australia through Climate Conversations.

We’ve recently developed ambitious plans for the coming years. One of these goals is to inspire 40,000 people to act on climate change through our Climate Conversations over the next three years.

But we need more funds to be able to achieve this. This is where we need your help.

In just under 5 years, we have engaged over 9,000 individuals in Climate Conversations through our flagship Climate Conversations Program. Excitingly, 86% of people left feeling more empowered to take action on climate change, and close to a half started contacting elected representatives more frequently.

Why join the campaign?

Climate for Change plays a critical role in expanding Australia's climate change movement. Our Conversations break down climate change to help attendees identify actions they can take on a personal, social and political level, to have an impact.

Our annual crowdfunder has been our main funding source until now. We need to raise at least $190,000 by November to be able to scale our Climate Conversations and achieve our ambitious goal of 40,000 people empowered to act on climate. It’s ambitious, but we know we can do it with your help.

Last year dozens of passionate fundraisers raised $210,000, and this year we already have over 150 fundraisers signed up - will you join them and help us to scale up our Conversations to the level needed?

Join our fundraising team and help us supercharge action on climate change!

Not sure? Nervous?

That's normal, but the world won't change if we don't make it - and this is a really powerful way to make a difference. And we'll support you all the way. You'll be amazed how much you learn and grow through it. Have a listen to what some of our previous fundraisers have to say about their experience:

What's involved?

Last year over 100 people engaged their communities to raise a combined total of $210,000. Some raised $300, some $3000, or even more! Every bit helped.

This year we're looking for at least 170 people to do their bit to enable our reach to grow even further.

When you sign up, create your own fundraising page on our crowdfunding site. You can personalise it as much as you like, then set a fundraising goal and do whatever you like (as long as it is legal and not offensive) to reach it.

In the past, people have done everything from simply asking friends to donate to their page, to cycling from Melbourne to Canberra! Lots of people have done challenges, and others have signed up to our wine drive to sell wine to friends and family.

Whatever you choose to do, we’ll support you with resources, tips, pep talks and by connecting you to a fantastic community of people fundraising just like you.

To find out more about the different ways you can fundraise check out our Fundraiser Portal, which is your one-stop-shop for all the resources you will need for fundraising. You can also check out our info sheets below:

Set yourself a challenge. Ask your friends and family to sponsor you. Be as creative as you like! Invite your friends to order wine through our wine drive. It’s all set up for you. All you have to do is promote it and organise your friends to pick up the wine from you when it’s done. If you’re creative or you have a secret talent making something, sell your work/wares, to friends or through other channels, and donate some or all of the sales to Climate for Change.
