We're in a Book! Discover Claire O'Rourke's Hope-Filled New Title

If you were one of the many who attended our Online-A-Thon last month, you will recall an interview with Australian campaigner, communicator and author Claire O'Rourke...

A friend of C4C and fellow avid climate activist, Claire is exceptional at sharing stories of hope and offering a positive outlook - backed by science and technology - for our future. Her new book, Together We Can: Everyday Australians doing amazing things to give our planet a future, is a collection of these hope-filled stories, action strategies and so much more. Our co-CEOs Jane Stabb and Lena Herrera Piekarski were delighted to be interviewed for a chapter of the book all about us!

Not only does Together We Can explore C4C’s mission to create the social change for effective action on climate alongside our unique application of social theory of change, it also shares the ever-inspiring story of one of our most well-known and beloved volunteers, Suzanne Mungall. There isn’t a time we have heard Suzanne’s story - of growing a community of climate leaders in the most conservative region of Australia, her regional Queensland home town of Kingaroy - and not been left utterly inspired.

Speaking with Jane, Claire also shares her own story of joining the climate movement, motivated to take action after experiencing the fear associated with a bushfire evacuation call for her suburban neighbourhood, as well as uncertainty for her children’s future.  Find the full interview over on our YouTube channel - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EMLlEaP4j78

Claire is also a highly experienced campaigner, communicator, behaviour change expert, partner and parent. We’re beyond grateful to be included in this wonderful piece of history and encourage our community to purchase a copy at their nearest bookstore.

'If you ever thought you were alone in the battle for climate justice, this book will make you realise you are part of an extraordinary movement of people.' - Craig Reucassel, ABC TV's The War on Waste
