A look at our 2021 fellowship

In a really challenging year, our 2021 fellows brought so much enthusiasm and dedication to our Fundraising and Communications Fellowship program. We're so grateful for their commitment to climate action!

Every year, our Fundraising and Communications Fellowship Program trains a group of passionate and dedicated people in various skills valuable in the not-for-profit sector – as well as in becoming climate leaders.

Our 2021 fellows finished up last month, and we’re so grateful for the impact they’ve had on our work.

In a really challenging year, they brought so much enthusiasm and dedication, and were instrumental in making our Challenge for Climate campaign what it was.

They have contributed so much to Climate for Change and we are immensely grateful!

In a recent review of the program, we were thrilled to learn that we had an impact on them too. An overwhelming number of fellows found it a very rewarding experience:

Fellow Coco McGrath said the fellowship was a huge boost to her confidence and her hopefulness! “It was so inspiring to speak to like-minded people each week. I feel more positive about the future knowing there are such committed and passionate people out there fighting for a better world.”

She has recently landed a new job “thanks to the fellowship”, and plans to settle in there before training as a volunteer facilitator.

Another fellow, Izzy Wood, felt similarly. “The biggest highlight of the fellowship was feeling our shared humanity, building meaningful connections and a deep sense of community. It added fuel to my inner fire, but with somewhere purposeful to direct that energy. I feel incredibly grateful to have worked alongside fellows and the C4C team who inspired me, supported me and made me laugh every step of the way. Thank you deeply for fostering a safe space for a bunch of passionate changemakers.”

We can’t wait to see all of the positive changes our amazing fellows are sure to make in the world!
