Ongoing Facilitator Training - 15 September 2026

The climate crisis can bring up many difficult questions for parents, and for those thinking about having kids. How can I help protect my kids’ future? How can I make a difference when I am so busy? Should the climate crisis be a factor in my decision to have kids?

We love meaningful, challenging climate conversations. So join us on Tuesday Sep 15 (6.30-7.30pm) for a conversation on talking about parenting (or not) in the climate crisis. We’ll chat with Dr Blanche Verlie, sustainability and climate change social scientist and former Chair of Climate for Change, who recently became a Mum. Then we’ll do an activity & share resources to help you have conversations with parents in your life and support them to take action that’s sustainable for them.

When: Tue 15 September
Time: 6:30-7:30pm (AEST)
Where: Online (via Zoom)

Our Ongoing Facilitator Trainings are a way for our community to connect, improve their skills, and stay up to date with Climate for Change. We also welcome any new members who are interested in knowing more about Climate for Change and the Conversations program!

Here's what's on the agenda:

  • Social catch up: A warm welcome and opportunity to connect with someone new
  • Ongoing Facilitator Training: Learn new facilitation skills
  • Conversation check in: Chat about your conversations from the past month, and what's coming up

We're excited to welcome new volunteers and reconnect with familiar faces
