Join us for MPEGs Community Quarterly Meetup: Thursday February 3rd, 7.30pm - 9pm (AEDT)

Theme: Local Government driving action on climate

It's time for our quarterly meetup — a chance for our wonderful community to meet, learn from each other and come away with new ways to take action on climate with your local group!

Our first guest speaker will be Alexi Lynch, who has 20 years of experience in the sustainability and climate change field and has been at Ironbark Sustainability since 2009. He works with councils and their stakeholders on energy efficiency, renewable energy and sustainability projects, and he is also chair of the C4C board.

Our second speaker is Matthew Kirwan. He is an ex Greens Councillor from Greater Dandenong and will be standing for the Federal election as the Greens candidate for Bruce. He'll share his experience in council and the best ways for constituents to engage with councillors.

Alexi and Matthew will present on how our councils can most effectively drive and influence action on climate, and how we can lobby them to do so! We'll have a Q&A and plenty of time to share experiences and tips from your local groups as well.

We can also make time to talk about your groups' strategy for the upcoming federal election — what are your plans for engaging with MPs and candidates?

Hope to see you there!

We'll send you the Zoom link when you RSVP below.
