Since launching the campaign calling for a national Climate Compensation Fund communities across the continent have stepped up to make big polluters pay their fair share.
Hundreds of people have joined the campaign, 5 councils have passed motions calling for Polluters to Pay and we're making media headlines!
Communities and organisations are now finding different ways to make this campaign work for them, because we all see a big opportunity for this campaign to shift the politics of fossil fuels in this country.
To build on this momentum we’re coming together for a one-day planning session, specifically designed for organisers in NSW to build skills, share lessons, and grow the campaign to win a Climate Compensation Fund - paid for by big polluters, not communities.
Join us at Redfern Town Hall (small hall) for a full day training to:
-
connect and plan with others across Sydney and surrounds - teams from Randwick, Blue Mountains, Illawarra and beyond will be there!
-
learn how to effectively engage our councils and communities to build support for polluters to pay
-
tailor the campaign to your local community
-
map our plans together between now and the end of the year.
