Grill'd conversing about climate

Lisa, our Climate Conversations Assistant Program Manager, recently facilitated a lunchtime discussion at the Grill’d Support Office, allowing the group to share their personal feelings and motivations for different climate actions.

One of the wonderful opportunities for climate action that arises after attending a Climate Conversation is the ability to reach out to others in your personal network.

Such was the case for attendee Erin - the L&D Coordinator at Grill’d Healthy Burgers. Erin attended a Conversation at a friend’s house, and was energised into creating a space for a discussion on climate change in her workplace.

In early February, Lisa, our Climate Conversations Assistant Program Manager, facilitated a lunchtime discussion at the Grill’d Support Office that outlined C4C’s Conversation Program model and theory of change, and allowed time for the group to share their personal feelings and motivations for different actions.

Erin also submitted C4C to their ‘Local Matters’ community engagement program for the month of January - giving support staff the ability to donate funds to Climate for Change’s various programs.

Grill’d staff from several departments attended, and were varied in their levels of environmental engagement. Common feelings of overwhelm, frustration and confusion mixed with resolve, willingness to learn more and take some action.

It was a great discussion, and a starting point for those who attended to think about the next steps in their climate action journey. Thank you for having us, Grill'd!
