We can all take small actions that put pressure on governments and big polluters to take action on climate change. This session will support you to do just that!
In this September session, we will be focussing on engaging with the media, such as through letters to the editor. We will be joined by Ken Enderby from Paper Pixies.

ZoomEffective Climate Conversations training
In this 2-hour interactive workshop, you’ll build the confidence and skills to talk about climate change in ways that truly connect with people in your life.
Through a series of engaging activities, real-life examples, and guided practice in small breakout groups, you’ll learn how to:

Navigate tricky topics and respond to common climate questions and reactions - from skepticism and apathy, to doomism and denial.

Share your own authentic climate story in a way that motivates and inspires others.

Break through the “climate silence” by turning everyday conversations into powerful opportunities for change.
This is a supportive, energising space for you to feel more confident in your own conversation skills, connect with others, and walk away feeling empowered to make an impact - starting with the people around you.
Whether you’re new to climate conversations or looking to sharpen your skills, this workshop will meet you where you're at and help you take the next step.

Let's show a 25% gas tax passes the pub test
Beer drinkers in Australia pay more tax than gas companies pay to extract our gas. We think it’s time for big climate polluters to pay their fair share. So, we’re hitting the Inner West Ale Trail in Sydney to ask our government to tax our gas exports properly.
This will be a casual meet up - all we will ask is that you snap a quick selfie with your beer (or drink of choice), and send it to your local MP and Albo! Bring your friends, or come and meet some new ones.
We will be at Chuck & Sons from 5.30pm (arrive before 6pm for happy hour!), then will move to Future Brewing at 6.30pm
We're aiming to tour the whole Inner West Ale Trail over the next few months - check out our other events at Bob Hawke Beer and Leisure Centre on July 15, and Young Henrys and Hopsters in Newtown on August 14 too!

Writing to your elected representative is one of the most effective things you can do to make your voice heard, and to put pressure on governments to take action on climate change. This session will support you to do just that!

We'll support you to put effective pressure on our Federal and State MPs by writing emails and planning calls and visits to them. If you're new to this activity there'll be plenty of help and all the resources you need to take effective action. Whether you're a newbie, or have joined us before, everyone is welcome!
