Update on the offshore gas bill before parliament

The pressure you have been putting on the Government / Resources Minister King is working! Now is the time to really ramp this up. The government has redrafted amendments so the Environment Minister will be included in decision making and regulatory checks and balances on offshore gas and oil projects.
However, there are still concerns that if the bill is passed in its current form it would significantly undermine consultation with First Nations communities and Traditional Owners.
Please keep the pressure up (meetings, emails, phone calls and letter writing) on the ALP (particularly those ALP back-benchers who are climate / environment friendly) and Minister King's Office and reinforce the need to listen to and properly consult with Traditional Owners on development proposals, and express your concerns.
Here's an example you can adapt if you need help getting started.
