This November Victorians go to the polls, and we want to ensure the next Government commits to bold climate action! To prepare, you are warmly invited to the Victorian Election Climate Convergence, joining the Vic Election Climate Collaboration, Climate for Change, and many others.
Happening on 23 May, the Convergence a shared one-day summit/conference for people and groups to get ready to push for climate action together at the 2026 Victorian election. It's about coming together to maximise our power and find those opportunities to collaborate at the election.
It'll be a mix of shared strategising, breakout discussions, skills-workshops and entertainment!
Climate for Change will be hosting two workshops:
And most importantly, there will be free food! Catering will be provided for morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea.
Kids are very welcome - older kids may participate in the programme with their parent/guardian, and we'll have free onsite childcare for younger children.

RSVP for our Online Climate Action Club - Tuesday 23rd June 7.30-9pm (AEST)
Writing to your elected representative is one of the most effective things you can do to make your voice heard, and to put pressure on governments to take action on climate change. This session will support you to do just that!
Make sure you RSVP below for the Zoom link!
We'll support you to put effective pressure on our Federal and State MPs by writing emails and planning calls and visits to them. If you're new to this activity there'll be plenty of help and all the resources you need to take effective action. Whether you're a newbie, or have joined us before, everyone is welcome!
You'll need your laptop or tablet. We'll have templates, materials, and ideas to make it easy to write emails to MPs that make a difference.

Are you a young person aged 15-25 living, working or studying in the City of Monash who is passionate about the planet and ready to take action on climate change?
The Monash Youth Climate Leaders Training brought to you by Sustainable Monash in partnership with Climate for Change and Zoos Victoria will leave you feeling inspired and equipped with hands on experience and practice to make a difference and use your voice for good.
Over a day, you'll rotate through two workshops:
🌏 Climate for Change Workshop – This session will help you learn skills to talk about climate change in a way that is inspiring, and motivates people to take action. You will learn how to respond to key questions about climate change, and also about how to engage with politicians to ask for change!
🦘 Zoo-Led Climate & Conservation Workshop – Explore the Zoo grounds while discovering how climate change is impacting wildlife and biodiversity, and how to tell these amazing stories. Connect with like-minded peers and be inspired by the natural world and the role we all play in protecting it.
This is a unique opportunity to build your confidence, expand your climate knowledge, and become part of a growing network of young climate leaders.
Important information:
- Participants must be aged 15-25 and live, work or study in the City of Monash
- Parents/guardians are not required to attend. This is a drop-off event.
- There are some activities within Zoo grounds where participants will not be under the direct supervision of a staff member.
- Participants must remain within the Zoo grounds throughout the event.
- Participants are responsible for providing and carrying with them any personal medication.
- First aid will be provided by a qualified Zoos Victoria First Aid Officer.
- The City of Monash's Safeguarding Children and Young People policy can be read here
- Ticket information and participant data will be stored by Climate for Change in accordance with our privacy policy
