    Zoom MPEG - 30 October 2024

RSVP for our Zoom MP Engagement Group (MPEG) - Wednesday 30th October 7.30-9pm (AEDT)

Join us on Wednesday, October 30th at 7:30 PM (AEDT, click here for your local time) for an engaging online session with Climate for Change's MP Engagement Team, featuring Seung Baek from Doctors for the Environment Australia. Doctors for the Environment Australia are leading the "Fossil Fuels are a Health Hazard" campaign, which is calling out fossil fuels as the primary drivers of climate change, which are responsible for the climate health emergency. The campaign asks the Australian Government to ban all new coal and gas projects due to their harmful effects on the health of people and on our environment.

In this session, Seung will outline the main points of the campaign, why we must quit fossil fuels to protect health. We'll also share the new issue briefing to support the "Fossil Fuels are a Health Hazard" campaign and this session.

Don’t miss this opportunity to learn, engage, and make a difference. Together, we can work towards a more transparent and fair democracy that prioritises the health of people and our planet.

Make sure you RSVP below for the Zoom link!

At this session, you will also have the opportunity to take action on local and national campaigns or other current climate issues.

We'll support you to put effective pressure on our Federal and State MPs by writing emails and planning calls and visits to them. If you're new to this activity there'll be plenty of help and all the resources you need to take effective action. Whether you're a newbie, or have joined us before, everyone is welcome!

You'll need your laptop or tablet. We'll have templates, materials, and ideas to make it easy to write emails to MPs that make a difference.

We'll send you the Zoom link when you RSVP below.

Newcomers welcome! What are you waiting for? :)

: We've found that it's really important for facilitators to participate in their first conversation within one month of completing the New Facilitator Training. We know December can be a busy time - so if you think it is unlikely that you'll be able to organise a conversation in that time we'd encourage you to postpone your training until January. The January dates are already available for you to book into.
