How much time do I need to commit?

A:

That really depends on you! However, the more you put into this experience... the more you will get out of it (cheesy but true!). It's about how much effort YOU can afford to give, what YOU want to learn, and what YOU want to give to Climate for Change. We will be there to support whatever you do.

In terms of training, this will again depend on how far you are running and how fit you are already. Melbourne Marathon have put together some training plans that you can follow. They also have Wednesday evening and Sunday morning training sessions starting in early August. Depending on the appetite we can organise training sessions together too.

In terms of fundraising, it's possible to run a very successful fundraising campaign over just a couple of weeks but the more prep the better - we think three to four weeks is an optimal time for a fun run fundraising campaign.

Fundraising in itself shouldn't take you more than a couple of hours per week and mainly includes things such as sharing your campaign by sending emails and personal messages to your networks and posting on social media platforms if you're active on any.

We will be sending you fundraising tips on a regular basis, however if you have any questions in the meantime, feel free to contact Marta at [email protected].
